Canadian online 3D printing store ISG has announced that it will be accepting bitcoin and CannabisCoin as methods of payment.
Company CEO and founder Samuel Guillemette spoke about the decision, saying:
“We are already accepting Bitcoin and have been proud to collaborate with CannabisCoin on a line of 3D printed grinders… We are open to more collaboration with the cryptocurrency community. We want to bring the best experience to the users.”
Not surprisingly, online payment processor BitPay will be processing all bitcoin payments for ISG, which has also mentioned that it is currently working on integrating Vericoin into its system, and that it aims to add several more digital currencies in the upcoming months.
Still fairly new, ISG, like any company wanting to make a name for itself is ready and wanting to expand, and those in charge feel that the acceptance of digital currency is an appropriate route to take.
The company’s bitcoin acceptance also falls in line with the announcement of a new printer. Known as the ISG II, it is based off of a Prusa i3 design, and the current price of the printer is $899.00 or just about three BTC for those wanting to use digital money. The company is also going to be releasing a new design of 3D printer known as the ISG 730. While details have not been released at this time, it will also be available for purchase through bitcoin.
