Regulated Blockchain Stack Venom Unveils Public Testnet Featuring Multiple dApps

Venom, the premier licensed Layer-0 blockchain within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), has announced today that its public testnet is live after years of meticulous development.

A Culmination Of Hard Work

This milestone achievement marks a significant step forward for Venom as it prepares for its forthcoming mainnet launch. Alongside the testnet launch, Venom has also introduced a suite of proprietary decentralized applications that are part of its growing ecosystem.

The testnet design caters to the needs of both ecosystem users and developers. It enables developers to test and debug decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain protocols while allowing users to gain hands-on experience with these dApps. This program aims to foster innovation and community building within the ecosystem.

Developers and users can easily test the network by following two simple steps. First, they can download the Venom Wallet via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or as a Google Chrome extension on desktop. Secondly, they can begin their Venom ecosystem testing journey by claiming a free testnet allocation.

Peter Knez, Chair of the Venom Foundation Council, announced the launch of the Venom public testnet, calling it “a crucial step towards our upcoming mainnet launch. With our highly scalable and reliable asynchronous blockchain, we’re confident that developers will be able to build innovative dApps, while users will be able to experience them firsthand.”

Various dApps On Venom To Check Out

Developers can experiment with the asynchronous Venom blockchain, which boasts ultra-fast speeds of 100k TPS (transactions per second) and a dynamic sharding feature that enhances scalability and network reliability. Both features are crucial in unlocking the mainstream potential for blockchain technology.

To start things off, Venom has compiled a repository of developer documentation to equip developers with the necessary tools and knowledge to get started. In addition, Venom’s network enhances interoperability and makes it a valuable tool for developers. Plus, its low transaction fees make it user-friendly and globally accessible.

A plethora of dApps are slated to make their debut on the Venom testnet. Users can test them by performing transactions, testing the native Venom wallet, staking, non-fungible token solutions, and much more.

These dApps have been developed by various Venom partners and ecosystem participants. In addition, the technology stack aims to become a prominent player in fueling the adoption of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Its key regions of interest include the Middle East and North Africa, with a global expansion in the works.
