To this end, pSTAKE has unveiled a new logo and released a fresh roadmap for 2024. The new strategy will majorly impact Bitcoin Finance (BTCFi) as pSTAKE will onboard new users with BTC liquid staking.

pSTAKE Roadmap: The ‘Orange’ Path Ahead
pSTAKE is not just making BTC a capital-efficient digital asset with yield-generating functionalities. It is also creating a secure platform to seamlessly access Bitcoin yields with a few clicks in a user-friendly manner.
The pSTAKE team is working round-the-clock to launch a series of products over the next six months to build an accessible BTCFi protocol. The following timeline is a tentative schedule the team will adhere to for the rebranded launch of pSTAKE.
July’24
pSTAKE will introduce pSTAKE v1 which will offer a capped launch of pSTAKE’s BTC yield and liquid staking solution on Babylon. Users will then be able to deposit BTC present on the Bitcoin network into pSTAKE.
July-August’24
The team will launch pSTAKE self-custody to offer full self-custodial services for pSTAKE’s Bitcoin yield and liquid staking. Thus, anyone can deposit BTC into pSTAKE and access BTC yields while maintaining complete custody of their assets.
Moreover, pSTAKE will add wallet support for more Bitcoin wallets so users will be able to use pSTAKE through their preferred wallet.
Throughout the year, pSTAKE will also conduct multiple security audits to offer robust security for users.
August’24
pSTAKE plans to launch pSTAKE’s points program, SatDrop, where users can complete on-chain and off-chain tasks to get ‘pSats’ points.
They will also launch pSTAKE v2 for issuing the yield-generating yBTC token on Ethereum. Users can deposit BTC in pSTAKE to get the liquid staked yBTC which they can use in DeFi protocols.
Till December, pSTAKE will further integrate yBTC into the DeFi ecosystem on Ethereum and its Layer2 networks like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. It will also integrate into Bitcoin L2s like Bitlayer, Merlin, BEVM, and other chains.
Thus, users will be able to transfer yBTC to multiple networks from Ethereum with a single click. It will enable them to access additional DeFi yields and earn extra points from pSTAKE’s partnering protocols.
September’24
The company will launch pSTAKE v3 where Bitcoin yield will go live. It’ll happen as Babylon’s Trustless BTC Staking starts generating yield from shared security consumer app chains.
Consequently, yBTC token value will appreciate as Babylon’s staking rewards get auto-compounded into BTC.
October’24
pSTAKE will revamp its tokenomics model as the pSTAKE token will become a crucial aspect of community-led protocol development. The token holders will be able to participate in pSTAKE’s governance and forum decisions.
December’24
The team will launch pSTAKE v4 to offer additional BTC staking yields apart from Babylon. The new yield sources will be integrated into yBTC to provide a diversified and higher Bitcoin yield.
Users will be able to deposit BTC to receive yBTC which will generate yields through multiple points instead of a singular source.
