Bitcoin wallet Coinbase has been sharing its latest set of updates on its blog, among which include a new version of its iOS app. This update contained Identity Verification, Instant Exchange, and bug fixes. Aside from that, the company has also been able to expand operations in Romania, allowing the wallet to offer services in 26 countries.
Other recent updates include PHP and Python client libraries released for Wallet API, major fixes in the Ruby client library, and Better error messages in the Exchange API. In terms of the web app, Coinbase simplified the navigation and separated the merchant and consumer views. It also made a few improvements to the bitcoin wallet risk algorithm and launched a new version of their error page.
Bitcoin Exchange Updates
According to the bitcoin wallet blog post, Coinbase will continue to share its recent updates to the community in hopes of getting feedback on these small developments. Users can be able to post their thoughts on these updates through the company’s community site.
In the latest version of the iOS app (1.10), users can be able to send funds directly from USD, GBP, and EUR wallets while European clients can be able to confirm their identity within the app itself. The latest version requires iOS 7.1 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, although it is also compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Coinbase was founded in 2012 and is offering bitcoin wallet and platform services. Currently, it boasts of 2.4 million users and 3.8 million wallets. It is also working with 40,000 merchants and 7,000 developers through its API. The company has been able to raise $106 million in funding rounds from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, BBVA, Ribbit Capital, SVAngel, IDG Ventures, Adam Draper, Greg Kidd, and Garry Tan.
